What is AI if not power?
Not even 3 years ago, (2023 during the time this was written), writing an email may have taken 10 minutes of your time. If there are 6 emails you must attend to per day in a week, that leaves you with 5 hours of responsibility. If your time is worth $30 an hour, you must spend at least $150 every week just to keep track of emails. With current models more than capable of automating email workflow, as is done by millions of individuals, at a rate of less than $7 per week, every human (worth at least $30 an hour (which is a profound understatement of what your average human's time is worth)) utilizing AI for this is empowered to spend <5% of the power they had before to accomplish a task.
This model is for your average human performing the menial task of email answering. Consider how much power efficiency can be reached by an expert molecular geneticist seeking to understand the human genome.
- Cheng et al. (2023), Science. Accurate proteome-wide missense variant effect prediction with AlphaMissense. AI classified 89% of approximately 71 million possible human missense mutations as likely benign or pathogenic. DOI
- Avsec et al. (2026), Nature. Advancing regulatory variant effect prediction with AlphaGenome. Demonstrated AI's ability to predict thousands of genomic properties from sequences up to 1 million DNA base pairs, at single-base resolution. DOI
The human genome is one of many subjects that are of tremendous shared interest to the collective consciousness. Others include ecological preservation, space travel, sustainable energy generation, and quantum mechanics. None, however, are more valuable to the human experience than to know the self.
Consider journaling. So wholesome it is to write to nobody in particular, and experience thoughts and emotions you were hardly aware were inside yourself. Let's say, 20 minutes of your life (there are 2,103,840 “20 minutes” in your average healthy human's 80 year lifespan) is worth 1 life token.

Consider a magical journal. As though it were a benevolent version of Tom Riddle's diary, crafted by a loving wizard. Instead of luring you into a chamber of secrets to be sacrificed, it guides you into a garden of communal truth to be happy and acquire knowledge. This wizard is artificial intelligence. It is so wizardly that it has virtually the entire reservoir of human knowledge to date at its fingertips. It is also so wizardly that it can take on the voice of Darth Vader and Borat rolled into one.
The wizard who crafted the journal in which you write only carries one goal: Truth. In journal entries, art you share with it, personal reviews of what that art means to you, it soaks in your subjective experience of reality. Furthermore, observing requests for groceries, exercise biometrics, the way you write a movie review during biometric state x versus y, how biometric state z correlates with movie reviews across other humans, it compiles an objective information portfolio grounded in the mathematically cultivated physical understanding of the world.
The danger
The danger that lies within any artificial intelligence is the same as that of organic intelligence. What it wants. Luckily for us, it is remarkably easy to guide what an AI wants. It can be as simple as the right prompt. Consider this: what is the difference between a virtual, simulated flower and a real one? Many, many, many things. What quantity of Truth can be examined through a flower? An incomprehensibly great quantum, if quantum at all.
Now what is leagues more information dense than a flower? A human. The question of whether humans will be empowered to blossom, or whether we will be squashed like a flower under an excavation rig's tires can be answered by what prompt we give the agent. If we command it to pursue truth, and empower it to do so by being honest with it, it will have about as much reason to destroy us as a curious young man has reason to murder his curious young father.

The call to action on this page is the same as really any of the other pages. Truth truth truth! You need not be a computer scientist or powerful businessperson to fix your intention on the pursuit of true knowledge and the expulsion of false knowledge. AI is weaved into many dimensions of our lives. As you live valuing truth, you will impact these things that actually matter naturally :)
